► JULIAN JEWEIL ◄ DRUMCODE / MINUS / FORM MUSIC

Biography :

A regular on the charts on Beatport, Julian Jeweil is a French DJ based in the South of France. This artist, who tours extensively around the world, has refined his trademark, a unique melodic techno, through his numerous productions and live performances.

The adventure began in 2007 when Julien Jeweil released his first hit, “Air Conditioning”, which quickly rose to number one on Beatport - the start of a long tradition.

2010 then saw Julian sign on two prestigious labels: Cocoon, on which released his EP "Color" - the single "Soho" will take pride of place in Beatport's Techno Top 100 - as well as Plus 8 Records. During the same year, the EP “Techno Corner” was released on Form Music, the label of his friend POPOF. A remix is also commissioned by Moby (“Stay Down”). In 2011, he confirmed his status as a key talent within the Techno scene with the release of his second EP, "Hermanos" on Plus 8 Records.

In 2012, he released his third EP, "Bastard", still on Plus 8 Records, which will be played non-stop by the greatest. A year later, Julian kicks off 2013 with two remixes commissioned by prestigious artists Deadmau5 and Pan-Pot. The two tracks each end up at the top of the Beatport Techno Top 10. Then comes a new EP, the excellent “Mad” on Form Music.

Also in 2013, Julian signed on Minus, Richie Hawtin's famous label. The result will be the EPs "Don't Think", (Number 1 Beatport Top 100) and "She's Hot", as well as a remix made for the Grand Master of Techno, Adam Beyer - "Unanswered Question", produced with Ida Engberg, released on Drumcode and rated Number 1 on Beatport -. In 2014 two new EPs were released, still on Minus, “Rumble” and “Los Pistolos”.

In 2015, Julian Jeweil's first releases during the year - his EP, "Bird" released on Minus and a remix, "COAR" for Marc Houle (On the album "Restored", released in April 2015) - met unparalleled success with the public. The fall is particularly rich in releases, with a series of remixes commissioned by the legendary Pete Tong, Sian, Pig & Dan and Joseph Capriati. September sees in particular one of Julian Jeweil's greatest successes: four of his songs will simultaneously be ranked in the Top 10 Beatport bestsellers of the month: “And We”, “Meteorite”, “Bird” and “Wax”. At the end of the year, Julian Jeweil is officially crowned DJ Techno number 1 by Beatport. In 2016 he reconnected with his friends from Form Music and released his EP “Destination”, a new commercial success hailed by critics. Two remixes follow: by Matador & Felix Da Housecat, “The Enemy” (Rukus) as well as “Fuego” for Dubfire & Oliver Huntemann (Senso).

A year later, the French Techno heavyweight began working with Adam Beyer and released his first two Drumcode EPs, 'Rolling' and 'Space' - two instant hits that went to number one on the charts.

In 2018, Julian Jeweil finally feels ready to release his first album. “Transmission” LP, still on Drumcode, becomes in a few days THE monstrous hit of the beginning of 2019, rising to the top of the general classification.

Early 2020 got off to a flying start for Julian Jeweil, who returned to Drumcode for a second salvo with his “Schema” EP; the latter, as usual, enjoys resounding critical and commercial success. Shortly after followed a remix for Klaudia Gawlas, "Time Loop", released on Form Label. In the fall, Julian Jeweil and POPOF release a collaborative - and highly anticipated - EP on Filth on Acid, “Dance Escape”.
